AMKE is a co-operation and networking body for VET providers in Finland Vocational training for both youth and adults is united under the auspices of AMKE. AMKE gathers and thereby enhances the competence and knowledge of VET providers. AMKE is an esteemed partner and pioneer in developing and renewing vocational education and training in Finland. AMKE is also a dynamic co-operation and networking partner for the international VET providers and stakeholders. Focus is set on the enhancement of professional competence both on individual and organizational level.

Finland in Focus – Developing VET with international aspect Internationalisation as an elementary part of the development of Vocational Education and Training – some examples Creation of flexible learning and qualification paths and increasing internationalisation – increasing of mobility periods (students with 30 %, trainers with 20 % by 2015 compared to the situation in year 2011) Increasing of work-based learning, diverse learning environments, student wellfare and quality of training services – utilization of international learning opportunities in this context Development of the Finnish Qualification System and the Qualification requirements – valuing international experience, cooperation and competences.
