Kajaani University Consortium campus Kajaanin yliopistokeskus on Kainuun alueen yliopistollisten toimintojen muodostama osaamiskeskittymä, jossa yliopistot tekevät yhteistyötä Oulun yliopiston koordinoimana (Oulun, Itä-Suomen, Jyväskylän ja Lapin yliopisto) Kajaanin yliopistokeskuksen ytimen muodostavat mittaus- ja tietojärjestelmien tutkimus- ja koulutustoiminta (CEMIS) sekä aikuis- ja täydennyskoulutus (AIKOPA) KUVASSA: CEMIKSEN toimitilat Kajaanin teollisuuskylässä, Petäisenniskassa. CEMIS (Centre for Measurement and Information Systems) on Oulun ja Jyväskylän yliopistojen, Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoulun, Mittatekniikan keskus MIKES:in ja VTT:n yhteinen mittaus- ja tietojärjestelmiin erikoistunut sopimuspohjainen tutkimus- ja koulutuskeskus. KUVASSA: CEMIKSEN toimitilat Kajaanin teollisuuskylässä, Petäisenniskassa Aikuis- ja täydennyskoulutuspalvelut AIKOPAn muodostavat Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoulun ja Oulun yliopiston Kajaanin yliopistokeskuksen aikuiskoulutusyksiköt.
